Constantly In Development

As we age, we learn that we are always in a state of development. By stepping back and realizing what areas you may need to better develop, it becomes easier to reach ones purpose. We are all put here on this Earth for a specific purpose. Unfortunately, it is not always clear what that purpose may be.

Self reflection and redevelopment have to occur to get you to the state of living your purpose. Accept being in the development stage of your life and the fact that some times in order to further develop, we have to change direction. We are in stages for a season. When that season comes to pass, we move further along in fine tuning our development.

Allow your self to develop! Understand that in order to grow to living a life of purpose, one must be dedicated to constantly developing. What area of your life do you need to further develop?

Sometimes we can be our own worse enemy. We can come up with every excuse as to why we are not going to reach a particular goal. Well, I am here to tell you that this philosophy can not be further from the truth.

Excuses are useless! The successful person continues to move FORWARD. There are times when things do not happen when we want them to happen. There are also times when things do not happen the way that we want them to happen.

I think that the key is to continue to move FORWARD! You can’t stay in one place and expect for something to just fall in your lap. Life does not happen in that manner.  When you listen to the stories of successful individuals, you always hear there obstacles, their failures, and what route they decided to take from that point. It’s not rocket science, they just opted to keep moving FORWARD.

One thing I know for sure is that you can not find clarity in life’s challenges by standing still. What steps will you take to move FORWARD today?

Love is an Action Verb

One thing that I know for sure is that people are wired to have love in their lives. When the threat of losing that love enters in, it tends to throw people off kilter. Many people tend to take for granted those in their lives that love them the most.  This ideology is completely backwards.  What you may not realize is that this person may not be there with you forever. We tend to get so caught up in our own lives and doing what we think is the most important agenda item that we forget to ensure that those that we love are equally happy, inspired, and challenged.

Love is an action verb and sometimes we need a shot in the arm to remember that one must put forth the effort to make that action come to fruition. Love can not only happen in your mind and in your heart, it must also happen outwardly.  Vow to make some permanent changes in your life to express your love outwardly.  I am guilty myself of not being loud enough in my expressions of LOVE.  But I am making that change in my life and I would love to hear how you vow to make that change in your life.

Here are a few examples of how one can show their love outwardly:

  1. Add a spontaneous picnic to your weekend.
  2. Take care of a ‘TO DO’ that you know the person that you love does not look forward to doing.
  3. Send each other notes of affection like when you were kids.
  4. Pray together.
  5. Dance in the rain.

Leave a comment on how you plan to outwardly express your love to a friend, family member, spouse, partner, etc.
